According to the chairman of the State Agency for Tourism Anelia Krushkova, the global financial crisis will affect the tourist market, but representatives of the sector worldwide consider the events rather realistically and without panic. In her words, the last of which people will stop spending, regardless of the impact of the crisis - these are food and pleasure. There will be restructuring in the tourism sector, new resorts and services at lower prices will be created, but the feeling in the sector is not for a global problem because of the crisis. Mrs. Krushkova added that reorientation of the tourists to rest in close destinations and for less money will begin to be monitored, as well as rediscovering their own country and the domestic markets, and leaving their money there. It is unlikely to report growth in tourist travels to distant destinations. Growth is expected, as in the passing year 2008, in the super luxury services sector and cheap tourism. This year Bulgaria can boast the difficult to achieve growth of tourists by 20 percent. This obliges us to keep the quality - price proportion and to continue focusing on the domestic market, where growth was also recorded.
Although collapsed, the English market will again have serious presence in our winter resorts, where the interest from Russian customers is expected to increase.
