The tourists currently in Bansko are predominantly from Russia, Macedonia, Greece, Great Britain and Romania, as the approximate occupation is about 16 thousand visitors. In the weekends, however, the number grows up thanks to the visits of Bulgarian tourists, and tourists from neighbouring countries - Greece, Macedonia and Serbia.
At present, conditions for winter sports in the resort are excellent, snow reached 120 cm.
However, significant concerns cause the reservations made in summer, when forecasts for the global economy were more optimistic. Effectively, the number of tourists in weekends will depend to a large extent on the condition of the roads. It is difficult to predict, however, what happens to reservations on longer vacations. This leads to changes in the offers of the hotel and tour operators, where the fall in prices is minimal, but there are additional services included. These are spa procedures, skiing cards with discounts, free transfers and others.
